BN940-72 | BN940 Narrow Near-IR Bandpass Filter
Part: BN940-72
Diameter: M72 x P0.75
The MidOpt BN940-72 is a Narrow Near-IR bandpass filter with a narrow-band design that improves blocking of unwanted light and reduces sensitivity to short-shifting, making them particularly essential when used with 940nm lighting and a short-focal-length camera lens. 940nm LEDs are commonly used in remote control devices and in security/surveillance lighting. 940nm illumination is often considered “covert,” as these LEDs produce little to no faint red glow even in complete darkness. Unfortunately, CMOS and CCD cameras have greatly reduced sensitivity at these wavelengths, and strong ambient light can often make imaging in this range very difficult. All MidOpt filters can also be purchased unmounted or in custom dimensions upon request from Machine Vision Direct.
