The MidOpt Bi905-62 is a Near-IR Interference Bandpass filter recommended for use with 905nm IR diode lasers or diode laser module lighting. 905nm is the wavelength of choice for many manufacturers of autonomous vehicle and driver-assistance lidar systems. It is also commonly used in hand-held laser rangefinder applications, laser speed detectors, surveying equipment, cloud ceilometers, proximity fuses, safety curtains, laser therapy devices, and weapons simulation. 905nm bandpass filters are therefore often necessary to reduce unwanted noise from sunlight and other ambient light sources, thereby greatly improving signal-to-noise ratios and reducing errors. These single-substrate, hard-coated filters block all UV, visible, and near-IR wavelengths outside of the desired 905nm passband. All MidOpt filters can also be purchased unmounted or in custom dimensions upon request from Machine Vision Direct.
